It is hard to believe we are now into our fifth month with Jack! Time flies when you're having fun! He is weighing in at 16lbs. 13oz. and that puts him in the 80th percentile for weight. His consistent weight gain is due to his healthy appetite and it increased as of Tuesday, May 17 when he was introduced to rice cereal. It was not the most exciting new taste for him and it took a few days for him to get used to it. On top of that, using his tongue was a whole new thing.

The following week he happily tried peaches for the first time. Each week we will introduce a new fruit or vegetable in order to be sure he is not allergic. So far, so good! The second week had him tasting apples and continuing with peaches. And today, we had sweet potatoes for the first time. Jack loves sweet potatoes and ended up eating three helpings, along with rice cereal and a serving of apples. We are thinking he has a sweet tooth!

We have not updated the blog since April, so we are continuing...
On June 1, Jack went for his first swim. We didn't put him in his raft that Grammy bought him, he just took a dip. He loved it! It also helped that the pool was heated and there were many other children around him for him to watch. Jack was able to swim with some friends over the weekend too and we are finding that he is becoming a water baby:).

Jack headed to Indianapolis this past weekend to see Mimi and Papa's new house and he hung out in a new little seat that they gave him. It is a favorite way for him to pass time. We also met up with some dear friends which is always a treat. He enjoys his visits to Indianapolis!

Jack, Mommy and Daddy are headed to Savannah in a few weeks to visit Grammy and Poppy for Father's Day and Poppy's birthday. Uncle Ross and Aunt Tami will be there too. We are very excited!!!
